Cardinal Village is a great spot for kids! We have three boys of our own and we can't help but be kid friendly!
Things to do:
Catch FISH! ~ Cardinal Pond is the perfect spot to land your 1st trout! A five year old holds the Pond record at 10lbs 11 oz! Come break the record!
Horseback ride ~ Take a tour of the Cardinal Gold mine on horseback. The horses are here from about July 1st to mid September.
Pan for Gold ~ Our gift store sells everything you need. Even kits with guaranteed gold!
Find Wild Rose's Cave ~ Be a first class explorer and follow the map to find the cave. If you are brave you can wind your way to the end of the cave and sign your name in the guest book also stamp your hand with the Wild Rose for proof positive that you made it!
EAT! ~ Join Charlie or Ken in the Cardinal Cafe for rattle snake cakes and the best milk shake you've ever had!
Explore ~ There are endless trails to follow, rocks to climb and hideaways to discover.
Shop ~ Start doing your chores and saving your money 'cause Cardinal Store carries all kinds of cool stuff for kids--cowboy hats, spurs, pistols, coloring books, rocks, jewelry, explorer's kits, gold panning kits, gold pans, t-shirts, hats, leather pouches, arrowheads, rabbit skins--all kinds of stuff!
Hike ~ Just up the road there are several trail heads to lead you to some incredibly cool spots--lots of lakes and streams just waiting for you.
Play ~ Check out a basketball, football, soccer ball or badmitton rackets from the store.
Crafts ~ Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 1:00 we have a great time at our Indian Camp. The project will vary from day to day but we usually do some type of leather or bead craft. Sometimes we even tell stories in the TeePee or around the camp fire. Very fun. (There is a fee for this depending on the project.)
Make Memories ~ Grown-ups come back every year and share their childhood memories of treasured time spent exploring Cardinal Village.
